I mostly see people focusing on Reels but Stories seem better for keeping existing followers active.
What's working better for you?

According to me stories may help in retaining the existing fans while reels may prove more helpful in gaining new fans Personally i would prefer using both of them rather than relying on one of them.
 
For me, Stories work better for keeping existing followers engaged. Reels are better for reaching new people.

But stories continues to work in their own way, not how reels work though. This is because while Reels attract new viewers then the stories retained your old ones.
 
i found Reels better for reaching new people while Stories are great for keeping existing followers engaged I think using both consistently works best
 
Instagram stories are good for keeping active followers engage, although it help other profile viewers to notice about recent post stories interest to share with traffics with profile owner interest.
Instagram reels post is the best option to grow profile with include trend captions and hashtag for viewers and profile followers.
 
I think stories are still useful especially for keeping followers engaged between reels. Polls questions and behind the scenes content can encourage interaction. Reels may bring new people in while stories help build a stronger connections with existing followers

Honesty, I've noticed the same. Reels seem better for reaching new people, but Stories feel more effective for keeping existing followers engaged and building that connection. I am speaking from my experience. Best results come from using both for different purposes.
 
Reels are for reach, the algorithm pushes them out to strangers making them your primary top of funnel engine for bringing new people to your business

imo stories play more of a role in engaging existing followers rather than attracting new ones. with a good story, u can transform an indifferent follower into an active user who will frequenttly view ur videos, respond to them, or visit ur profile. while reels attract users attention, stories keep it.
 
Stories are where you keep them engaged and turn them into loyal fans; using Reels as a traffic funnel, then closing deals and retaining them through Stories is the best approach.

Reel content helps your channel grow and reach a wider audience, but to maintain engagement and retain existing followers, Stories prove far more effective.
 
Stories are still useful for keeping followers engaged while Reels are better for discovery and new reach.
 
using both together works better than relying on just one.because both bring more replies and regular interaction

I have realised nowdays that Stories are able to revive the users who were not participating in the feed any longer. even a sticker question often gets more responses than a post that were prepared for an hour.
 
I think both have their place Reels seem better for reaching new people while Stories are useful for keeping existing followers engaged
