Do I really Need a UK VPS?

Hi all

I have been looking to set up Followliker (Instagram & Twitter combined). I will use a VPS but just need to clear up a couple of points please

1. Do I need a Windows VPS because FL runs on Windows?
2. Im based in the UK and was going to get a UK VPS, but is that really needed or will any do as long as the specs are good (Greencloud seems fine)

In my experience any U.K. hosting (including vps) is more expensive than USA. I use uk proxies to get round it.

Thanks for this. I was going to look at Greencloud. Happy to pay for a reliable service. Can I ask who you use and also for proxies please

I user power up hosting for the vps and proxy hub for the proxies. I've been using them both for a long time.
