As the title says, I live in Europe and I would like to target US audience.

You can just make content for that audience. If even some people like the videos there, they will share it thus increasing the reach.

Not necessarily, if your content is good and meant for US audience you will eventually reach US viewers. However, if you use a good US proxy you'll automatically get US audience regardless of what you upload, so that might be easier sometimes.

You can target any audience regardless of your location. Just make sure you create content that is relevant to US viewers and try getting their attention to your channel

If your content is in English then you can target the U.S. audience very easily. And if it's good it will also get shared among them thus effectively reaching them.

Solely depends on the content. If the topic of the video you're making is trending in the U.S you'll be fine without proxy.

There is no need to but you can follow accounts from USA, and people from there like and comment so your post can appear more on their feed and create content or follow relevant trends on the USA, I'm in a different country and all my content is only from USA, now I made a mistake and liked and follow some pages from my country and now is only showing me content from my country, is not bad but is not what I'm looking for.

You only need to use it if some copyrighted content requires a US IP.
