I was just wondering if I need private proxies for scrapebox if I am going to do manual commenting.
Also, is there a way to rank youtube videos with scrapebox?

If you are using Scrapebox only for harvesting for High PR niche links you can go with public proxies. But you will need fresh proxies everyday.
About ranking youtube videos, I have succes using scrapebox blasts+social bookmarks blasts.

ps: Scrapebox is working very well.

If you intend to comment the same site more than once, you need proxies.

IF I comment on a site, Do I need to put the link in the comment section for it to be considered a backlink?

No, the backlink will be the one in the "name" section.
