I'm starting a website that will have a section with ebooks and programs (warez) available for purchase and download. Since the ebooks are copywritten and the programs are pirated I don't want to get in trouble but since they'll be in a member's only area I'm not sure if I actually need to host things offshore. I plan on having the downloads come directly from my site (no links to other sites like rapidshare or anything) unless it's a bad idea. If it is a bad idea can you help a sista out with some better ideas?

I am currently with Hostgator and I already registered the name and started working on the site. If I do need offshore, are there any recommendations?

I'm really really dumb about all things relating to website making, hosting, etc. (it took me a week to install a fucking wordpress theme) so please bear with me and explain things like I'm a retarded 5 year old

Yes, you beter get offshore hosting. Hostgator will ban you instantly when they receive a complaint... And what you plan to do is against the copyright. So better be safe then sorry.

As for recommendations, just use the search function of this forum. There are many offshore discussions going on here. Good luck!
