Do I need my own proxy

I currently have Followliker running on a Windows VPS along with Proxies from SSL Private Proxy. The VPS company started to offer VPS's in Los Angeles. I thinking about just running followliker on the VPS IP since it is local. I am only running 1-3 accounts through Followliker.

Would this be advisable or am I ok to just use the VPS IP?

Yes that's fine. But if you're thinking to add more accounts, considering to get private proxies.
