Do I need different computers for PBN setup?

If you use wordpress, and you visit .../wp-admin/ of you sites from the same browser, there is a chance that they can track that.

It's not just your IP address you give away when you visit a website. Search for "digital footprint" for more info.

If you don't use CMS, and you upload your sites via FTP to you hosts, you will have a better chance. I still wouldn't visit the sites once they are online from the same PC/browser.

You can use VMware to have a separated virtual PC, so even if you want to play safe, you wouldn't need a physical separated PC.

+1 , no need to make your life harder. Google can't track your login sessions on your sites / cPanels / WP admin panels.

You do NOT need a new computer, go to a library, buy proxies or get a VPN to build out yoru PBN, how the hell do you n00bs even come up with this nonsense?

Please explain to me how the overlord Google is going to see your IP as a red flag when you are building your PBN (this shit should be good 0_o)

Well, google could know that your IP visited the PBN because your theme might be loading some static css / jquery library / fonts from their CDN. And if the css of jquery are related to the admin page, then they could know that you are an 'admin' or 'contributor' on that particular website.

Repeat the process across all your PBN. Well you IP shows up everytime.

However, I'm not saying that this is a reason to use proxies/VPN to build your PBN, just a simple answer to your question.

Do you have any idea how much computer power and database storage that will take, just to figure out what the IP is that you log into your sites with then have that data analyzed to find patrons and then have people check out the millions of IP to0 see if there is a PBN or not... That would cost so much money and for what.....?

I totally agree with you, I thought your question was about how would they do to get your IP not if they would bother spending and the calculation power for that.

Man this thread... Okay, there is absolutely no way Google can find out your IP except through Google fonts maybe. I don't know the ins and outs myself but after performing a quick Google search I found this:

"Since WordPress 3.8, Google’s webfonts have been used in the core WP build, including WP Admin Panel. The fonts are not served from within WP itself, but served by Google webfonts through fonts.googleapis.com. A cookie is not placed, however: When the user accesses the site, Google can collect the header data of the connection request, which includes Google’s cookies. Because of this, Google can find out if your relationship to the site is as a admin/website owner that logs onto the site, or just a “random visitor”. If your cookie ID then makes use of certain other sites, Google can connect your admin status of the site, to your Google accounts."

There's plugins to get rid of Google fonts in your WP install. But this is only for people who are real paranoid. I totally agree with fc-dh, it'd be rediculous if Google were to actually track and analyze this.
 
If you’re paranoid, you can prevent your browser from loading web fonts



1) Mozilla Firefox

Open about:config
Set "gfx.downloadable_fonts.enabled" to false.



2) Opera or Chromium
Right click the launcher icon, click "Properties".

At the end of the Target add the following:

/disable-remote-fonts

after the .exe”
 
You only need one computer to BUILD the PBN - hell you don't even need a Proxie or VPN. Now if you want to assign a G+ or Facebook account, you may want to consider getting some proxies.
 
You can also change your country for that. It's up to you.
 
A single computer is enough to setup a PBN.
 
Word is on the street nowadays that every PBN site needs to be built from separate room/building/house and prefferably continent. It's a rule of thumb. :D

Agreed. Some terrible advice being thrown around here. Only need VPN/proxies for creating multiple accounts on hosts, for domains, and such.

You're launching a website, worry more about covering your footprints on hosting, domain ownership, and the site's IP.
