I have a personal private blog network right now of about 100 sites. I'm currently using dedicated SEO hosting from a couple different providers. I do not know a lot about hosting, and I'm wondering what the advantages/disadvantages of getting a dedicated SEO server? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

There is no such thing as a SEO server.

If you run a blog network, do not use a dedicated server for all the sites. The IPs will be closely related and almost guaranteed to be in the same netblock as eachother. The sites will also share the same nameserver. It will also share the same email server.

Only move sites to a dedicated that need a dedicated for a private network. Putting all of them under the same roof has no benefit besides lower cost and maintenance.

That all depends mostly on how much traffic you get.

This is correct. Hosting all of them in one dedicated server would just make them end up being hosted on the same block of IP's from one location. There is this thing called CDN (Content Distribution Network), I can help you out on how to make it work with SEO. Just PM me and tell me your Skype as well.
