Can I just contact a bunch of people on facebook and give my affiliate link for shareasale?
Or do I need a website?

AFAIK, Shareasale requires you to submit a website while registering.

First read the terms of your merchant. Also its a good idea to contact the affiliate manager and ask if direct facebook traffic is allowed .

Most of the affiliates wants some kind of website. If you are going to do direct traffic, it is best to mention it when you are applying. They may want to see proof. Show them if you have any.
