hi
i have a website receive 4k visitors and 30k page views per day and hosted in shared hosting
the website work fine
i don't know if there is problems or errors that maybe don't appears to me
how to decide if i need a vps and what is the good specs to handle this traffic ??

provide your website URL please and also please tell me if it is a wordpress site or custom HTML, CSS site

You get messages in CP if you need more resources. Also, if the site loads fine and you don`t have to wait, then you are good.

the website is a custom PHP,HTML,CSS and use mysql database

Look in your cpanel on the left side and you will see any errors or overloads where you are pushing it too far. 4k a day should be easy for a shared hosting.

For the price of a vps I would do it. I would also setup a free account uptime robot and add your site to that. You will soon find out if there are any outages. You can set the checks to every 5 mins.

As thebigweb already said, it would be a wise choice to go with a VPS. They don't cost alot and as I guess you want to grow even more, why not settle with a VPS already now before your shared hosting goes on the limit, which would result in downtimes.

A website with 4k traffic per day means it's quite profitable. And surely the number is not fixed. Many days you will get more visitors. So why not take a vps server? After all you should consider your website's performance above all.

cool, how you promote you site?

to get this traffic? is it constantly? per day?

Just shared hosting if you take advantage of caching
I've been using Godaddy 1$/month with W3 Total Cache :) all good

It doesn't matter if you are receiving 4k visitor or 30k visitor per day/month, it comes down to how much resources your site requires to handle those kind of traffic. If you can provide some kind of configuration or your existing consumption then everyone would be able to give you better recommendations.

I know Demontech has been providing reliable hosting services for a long time.
I have referred several friends to the service so far and all say activation has been approximately between 30 - 90 minutes.

Hosting on a vps is pretty easy. I provide managed options if you are interested, drop me a line or pm snd we can talk!

I'd draw your attention to VPS deals from hostsailor.com.
Support is online for 24 hours and there is an entrancing discount - BLACKFRIDAY50 offers 50% on all vps services first month.Support is helpful around the clock.

I truly think that you can used shared hosting if your site is not using alot of resources. However If you want a VPS I would suggest a Managed VPS if you are ot familiar with how to secure it. I would suggest HostDime for managed Services, they have a company with a lower price point called vps latch, If you are going for an unmanaged server and are willing to secure it and manage all the settings yourself I would suggest JAXVPS with interworx CP you can get a license for interworx from license cart for about 8 dollars a month and it is easy to use and navigate.

I suppose that it will be a good idea to contact SolVPS.com team and tell them your requirements.
Their highly trained experts will find a good fit for your needs. New customers can get a great discount with coupon BESTVPSOFFER for 25% off for life.

This thread has more hosting suggestions than answers to the OP's query.

Are you using cloudflare ? if not, you should be !

Are you using any framework ? are you codes optimized ? are your queries optimized ?

4k visitors and 30k page views are NOTHING, just optimize your codes and cache everything.

Check your logs for errors, if there are any why bother ?

As you mentioned above i could see that you are find with the shared server. If the hosting provider is good then it is not necessary to make a move to VPS. But if you are not satisfied and if you are in doubt about its performance in future then you can definitely switch to VPS. The choice is yours, but technically its not absolutely necessary.
