Do I have to use the gutenberg editor?

Sorry, I am a newb and I havent used it yet at all.

I am just starting a new website and I have used the colormag theme and downloaded all the demo data to make the customizing easier for showing where posts are on my main page & category pages.

I havent even tried the Gutenberg editor yet.

Can I just keep using the current editor thing and will my site be ok in the future???

your website will be ok whatever you use. Keep the UI simple without complex designs. As you mentioned "colormag" above don't use a nulled theme if you are serious about your site. Some contain unwanted links. So buy a licensed theme if you want your theme updated and spam free otherwise buy a nulled themes from a genuine site it costs you around $5.
