So I m the guy who didn't even go outside when there was no pandemic( introvert ) so you can imagine how much would I have went outing during the pandemic,

I Got sick badly( usually happens every year in August ) like a week ago and took me like 3 days to recover and i m felling fully fine today, but I have been noticing I lost smell and taste from 3 days slowly slowly and today it's very much I can't even smell strong fragrance, the only thing I can taste is Sweetness like biscuits, jaggery and stuff, I do wanna point out I have a bit cold and people have visited my home in past days so idk if they had corona

But I don't think if I ever lost sell and taste
Should I go for a checkup?

Get tested, better safe than sorry

Go to the doctor immediately and put yourself in quarantine, please. I wish you well...

can you smell your own sh1t????????????????? if not , go fast to a doctor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I also have a cold, but I can confirm that I just smelled it very good 2 minutes ago. Looks like I'm safe :P

get it tested and put yourself in quarantine

I'd say, stay isolated for now, and keep a check on your health; especially oxygen levels. If anything changes, go to a doctor. Do you also have high temperature or is it normal? #IANAD

Please go for a test, most Covid-19 patients complain that they lost their sense of smell and taste. I'm not saying you're infected, but go for a test and don't be scared
Thanks

Yeah, loss of smell is caused by covid, I got covid in the beginning of March and after 2 months I still couldn't smell much, and after those 2 months you will have altered smell, it's been 6 months and my sense of smell isn't fully back yet. I had only those symptoms, got tested and was positive. Even though, back in march, loss of smell wasn't a symptom of covid yet (they still didn't know)

I don't know where you live but in the UK you can just call the doctor, without having to go out and potentially infect others if you have the virus, or you can order it online and you do the test at home. Better call your doctor first and ask what the procedures are so that you are safe and others are safe too.

You do need to checkup, I believe there are Swab Testing/Rapid Testing centers that can be visited with ease (At least from where I live, i live in a 3rd world country) I got tested twice already, one is via swab and another for rapid test 3 days ago. i got negative on both.

Peace of mind and early prevention is best.

I just read someone who said when they got corona they could taste salt and sugar but not the actual taste.

If you're feeling fine, then just wait it out, your senses should return in a week or couple of weeks.

Otherwise if you're feeling bad, go see a doctor.

Problem with going to the doctor is you might not have corona now but hospitals and doctor offices are high risk places where you may actually get infected.

This is the symptom of COVID-19. You should have a checkup. It takes 2-3 weeks for your recovery. You need to stay in self-quarantine and take medicines to improve your immunity.
