Do I get a backlink from every tumblr reshare?

I've been working on my niche related Tumblr account and yesterday one of my posts went semi-viral with over 300 reshares and my link is right in the description.. I'm wondering if that just got me 300+ backlinks since its on 300 peoples pages, or is it just one backlink from original source? Sorry for noob questions I'm still trying to figure this out!!

In fact It should have given you 300+ backlinks, as all the shares have different urls.

It is a new link for each share, I done an experiment to identify whether a share was somehow streamed or effectively copy and pasted.

The most of the experiment was to change the url in the original description and it never changed the description on the shared posts. So as inefficient as it may be on tumblr resources every share is stored as a separate copy on a separate subdomain.

Google doesn't really like tumblr though, because reshares basically constitute duplicate content (lots of tumblrs only contain this kind of duplicate content). So lots of tumblrs are not even indexed by google, although lots of them are too.
