If I create a subdomain of my website do hits to that subdomain help with the alexa rank of my home page?

for example my home page is hxxp:// www . evenhosting.com if I make hxxp:// yoursite.evenhosting.com and a lot of people visit hxxp:// yoursite.evenhosting.com does it help hxxp:// www . evenhosting.com's alexa rank?

I tried to look at Alexa doc. and here is the words I found ...

Alexa's traffic rankings are for top level domains only (e.g. domain.com). We do not provide separate rankings for subpages within a domain (e.g. www . domain . com/subpage . html) or subdomains (e.g. subdomain.domain . com) unless we are able to automatically identify them as personal home pages or blogs, like those hosted on Geocities and Tripod. If a site is identified as a personal home page or blog, its traffic ranking will have an asterisk (*) next to it: Personal Page Avg. Traffic Rank: 3,456*. Personal pages are ranked on the same scale as a regular domain, so a personal page ranked 3,456* is the 3,456th most popular page among Alexa users.

but for me the answer is still not clear, so do visitors to subdominas also affect Alexa rank for the main domain?

Also as a side question, is ifram traffics counts w.r.t. Alexa?

I'm pretty sure that subdomains don't help the ranking of the overall domain name.

Yes they calculate the total ranking an example would be blogger.com its rank is 8.

http://alexa.com/siteinfo/blogger.com

Scroll down to where people go on blogger.com you see all the subdomains.

You see 24% are on blogger.com the rest are people visiting the millions of blogs.

so is that means, even backlinks to the subdomains will count toward the main domain as well ?

Alexa rank is calculated only for top level domains but traffic to subpages and subdomains are taken into account while computing alexa ranks for TLDs.

im not sure what a subdomain is can someone explain?

Example of a TLD (Top Level Domain): www.example.com or example.com

Example of a subdomain: putanythinghere.example.com

A subdomain works like a Top Level Domain. You can do with a subdomain most of the things you can do with a TLD. The main difference between them is a subdomain relies on a TLD for it's existence.
