I use it normally to get some no follow links for diversity.

Yeah, only niche related. If my page is about vacation in Mexico, I would find other pages about vacation in Mexico (or something similar) and comment on these. If I have plenty of target pages to choose from, which usually is the case, then I filter them by TF and PA.

Like others have mentioned, only use them for diversification on relevant blogs. You can also get some tiny boosts on serps if the links send you some traffic.

Can't expect much link juice. In terms of link diversity, it's appreciable.
