It feels like hashtags aren’t doing much anymore. Is anyone still using them, or are they completely useless in 2025?

Yeah hashtags are pretty much redundant these days. On all major platforms.
Just adding the keyword inside your tweet is already enough for the algorithm to categorize your post properly.

Hashtags aren’t dead but they’ve lost power. Smart, focused use helps a bit, but real growth comes from strong content and active engagement. Don’t rely on tags alone.

Never had luck with hashtags. If you include the word in the tweet, people can find it anyway if they are searching for it.

yeah, they still help a bit — mainly for visibility and trends. But X’s algorithm now focuses more on keywords in the post, so I use 1–2 relevant hashtags max.
