Do hashtags get you many followers/likes?

I've just realised that from 2 weeks ago, the hashtags I've been attaching to my posts haven't been working. I'm using Gramblr to post btw. I'm not sure whether this is bad or not. On the one hand I may not gain as many followers/likes on my page but on the other, my posts will look very tidy from now on. Do any of you know if using hashtags gets you many followers or likes though?

In my opinion, hashtags never looked good as captions anyway. If you have followers it's best to post high quality content that has a meaningful, detailed caption. This has increased my engagement from 3-4% closer to 5% on my accounts.

I think meaningful caption > bunch of hashtags any day.

Your hashtags won't get indexed if you use gamblr because it uses an illegal API to upload on IG.

That's why you aren't seeing any results from it.
