Do guest posts hurt SEO?

One of my client's site was making around $350 approx per month from adsense, as an admin I was receiving emails requesting guest posts. I have discussed this with him and allowed free posting with two rules. They can have their author bio which we will create and link only to their social media pages only and no site links.
Second was the content should be of high quality at least 1500 words and one (relevant) link is allowed only if the linking site met certain quality standards.
We are getting around 7-10 posts a month and we are posting more content as well. Now the site after 7 months is making more than $1200. What we changed is we removed AdSense and started promoting relevant affiliate products and more quality content is being posted. Plus those people are promoting their guest post articles in their ways.
If you take enough measures, you can make it work for you and it may even boost your earnings.

Make sure the inbound backlinks you are creating are on credible sites that relate to your business or industry.

I haven't published any guest posts yet. However, these days, I'm thinking of accepting 10 to 15 guest posts just because I need money. How can I avoid Google penalties? With the last update it has already dragged my website to the bottom.

Having the guest posts only connect to the author's social media links is really smart. I'm surprised you have that many people agree to that link since most people want guest posts for the link.

Hand written content + Related Niche Website---. Booster of your Site

It's really easy to criticize a person without thinking. I've been working on my fucking SEO for 2 years now. As in every field, this field also requires money to move forward. Since I have a problem with my eyes, I try to save my surgery money by setting aside $100 from each article. I was able to earn only 400 dollars from my site in 2 years. Not even all of this money was left to me (Hosting, Domain name, tax, etc.). In short, I don't have much time. It's not naivety, my friend, it's desperation.
sir you work on your website and increase traffic..

I
i agree that relevancy must be a choice and content plagiarism must be unique.
I dont think relevancy is mandatory.
But the content must be unique and of high quality.
However, you should promote the keywords wisely. Promoting long tail keywords or buyer intent keywords too much might penalize your site.

Yes, we did and many people still want guest posts. This is actually good for them from my point of view as well. It's a win-win. Things are changing and sticking to old school method of direct linking is not advisable. Indirect linking, especially using Social media will help in several ways.

So G slapped your site, so now you want to sell guest posts? Pure class.
If you take into account the latest "money making methods" I've read in the section, many suggesting on buying an expiring domain and selling guest posts, this makes a lot of sense.

It appears to me that this is the quality of the guests posts we could expect lately, and probably why many could be willing to move in this direction. Some see the possibility to earn $100K relatively soon with a low amount of sites, when with AdSense one has earned with a 10K MAU site like $100/mo at best and the logic says what I'm doing with my life?

I'm even thinking on putting my GF to sell guest posts 8/5 since she cannot take other SEO strategies more seriously. This trend is so amazing.

Vet all sites that want a link, check their backlink profile & don't link to trashy sites

Confirm the content won't be submitted to loads of other sites

Post other content without links sometimes

Insist that in each guest post, you'll post to other sites as well that are related. NOT just authority sites either! Similar sites to the client's (but non-competing). Else it's too obvious if you JUST link to 1 biz site and then some authority sites!

If the content is relevant to your website ,you can do it but avoid posting more articles that can alert Google.

Hi, if you are thinking to accept any guest post then keep in mind that content of guest posts should be relevant and authentic.

As per Google's new algorithm, Google wants to reward better and more useful content that was written for humans and to help users. You need to follow this algorithm to avoid Google penalties.

Google has announced the new helpful content update which specifically targets “content that seems to have been primarily created for ranking well in search engines rather than to help or inform people,” Google said. This update aims at helping searchers find “high-quality content.”
