Not really the opposite view of the thread bud, just in general what happens with colleges / universities now a days is disgusting really. they made it a blood sucking machine its not about education no more... they're selling people on 'art degrees' for tens of thousands of dollars. fuckin pay $100 and watch a udemy course instead.. same value without the insane debt.

Grades themselves don't matter at all, their only value are in passing a subject or not, your own experience will dictate how good you are in your field
I can 100% guarantee a doctor that got 90s in a few classes is not a better surgeon than one that got 85 in those same classes. People change and grow and school is really stupid.
Education itself is important but the current learning system is counterproductive and not efficient.
Also for life, education is extremely subjective. I have friends that literally had nothing but 100s, wouldn't go out, they haven't even had girlfriends while I am married because they thought good grade= good job= money, oh they couldn't be any more wrong.
I always did well in school but not perfect like them, I did a Masters Degree, ended up not using my Masters or my Bachelor AT ALL (they were in a stupid field anyway) and yet I've probably made 10 times more money than my friends (who do work on their field) since we graduated .
So yeah, grades are dumb.

Thats another issue. Professors teaching 'business' classes when they never even owned a business. its all theory and what they watched on youtube
You're right.

Yes and no... For most things colleges are useless and a scam, but when I see how many conversions doctors get on their ads... Well, they choosed their degree right.

for 2 reasons:

- the system is designed by the mafia to keep people in a loop of total submission to them
- the people in this loop are not given time or opportunities to figure out how they're being screwed over, so they have no other way out of this but to become miserable or die, or to keep spinning the hamster wheel

I feel the same way. In a system where 10 lakh people fight for 700 seats, it clear the structure is broken. I think the world’s shifting, people are waking up to the fact that real world skill, monetizable knowledge, and network matter more than GPA.

Looking back, I think grades matter most for graduates because that grade point average is what could potentially break a tie between 2 candidates. However, the further down the road the more experience matters.

In fact, when I was putting in applications for jobs last year, I didn't even have success until I switched from a traditional CV that lists education and grades to a skill/experience based CV.
