I have done some searching around and am getting mixed responses. Will embedding a YT video that IS NOT your own improve SEO? The general consensus is that it will as it will increase the user's time spent on your page. Is this true? Will this help ranking?

Relatively new to this realm so feel free to roast me for potentially asking a generic question. Just looking for confirmation before I go and embed some videos.

Thanks in advance.

Even if it is doesnt help seo i still recommend to embed yt vids helps engagement page time etc

My 2 cents is it may not be eessential but is advisable.

I look at a good bit of PBN advice & those guys--to a man--advise embedding a YT vid to properties (since it looks more natural).

Increases session time and also video sitemaps make it comparitively faster to index.

Just do whatever is best for the user...and build more links.

This helps the page to get more traffic. I have seen it repeatedly.

Its good for getting more traffic from different sources

GO for it, its an easy method to maintain people on your site, after they find you on google, so yeah, it would help SEO.

does not increase SEO but it will increase user watch time and get more traffic

You got the answer already,
it will help to keep the users longer within your page which will help somehow in SEO,
make sure to put the video wherever it's worthy and make sure it's beneficial for users

Do not know about seo, But it defiantly helps in increasing user watch time or user time spent.
