Do eBay buyers buy ANYTHING off eBay??

Man, I drive thousands of visitors from eBay to my sites monthly yet getting them to buy anything "off eBay", either directly or via affiliate links is damn-near impossible. Offering freebies using the CPA/meta-refresh ideas doesn't even work. Am I just doing something wrong or are these people just a different breed?

Anyone able to get conversions "off-eBay" from eBay traffic?

target your visitors to pages with similar content to what you promote on ebay

I think you need more targeted traffic. It could be with the economy the way it is now, that people are spending less on toys and more on gas/food/lodging

with ebay being around for so long, people are into the 'feedback' system.
with ebay, they feel they have a recourse for bad sellers, and that in their minds don't exist on regular websites.

its a whole different mindset. there are crooks on ebay, and honest ecommerce sites, so...

If people are on ebay, they're there for a reason, some people just feel secure buying on ebay when the truth is thousands of items can be found cheaper elsewhere, so now getting these buyers to buy anything off-site is going to require a very good promotion.
