Hello

I will start a new non-english affiliate website.

So, I am curious if the domain extension affects the ranking.

Does a .org fit for that?

Is it better to choose a .com over a .info / .org even when the content is written in my native language?

its all about looks unless you are targeting local market.

I have ranked even with a .tk domain.

If google favors TLD's they would never rank a DMCA ignored TDLs

Google doesn't care much, but some visitors might find .info and other similar a bit spammy, just by look and first impression.

for ranking its not but for visitor of website it will look spammy and not credible

.com sound more legitimate actually. Then .org and then .net or .info in my opinion.
As far as ranking is concerned, you can rank any of these

@boyX - pick any niche, do a search and see what kind of domains you see in top 10? do you see any .info domains?! probably not. it is not that because it is a .info that google does not rank it, it is mostly due to people not taking .info domains as serious and thus having less engagement with the site , which equalls to low CTR. Sites with high CTR rank higher. you can confirm this by comparing sites in a particular niche by using alexa. Alexa data might not be 100% correct, but their data across sites are relative.

Extensions do not affect ranking, it affects how people perceive the domain. A .org is more associated with non-profit's for example.

I just ranked a .website website and It was t harder than any .com to rank.. so i wouldn t worry so much about the extension and more about what you put on It.
