Do DMCA take down domains?

Everyone seems to be using offshore hosts when hosting websites that the US would not like.
If you buy a domain from an onshore registrar such as namecheap and offshore host, can DMCA issue a notice to lock the domain?
I am asking this because i rarely see anyone talking about offshore domains, but if DMCA can take down hosts they can also take down domains right? Please fill me in with information on how DMCA do their stuff

For example, can DCMA take down a domain of a leak forum?
I mean, if you have a successful website and your domain gets taken down, you're fucked cause you can't get it back.

unless you use the brand's name in your domain, no.

guccishoes will be taken down, but brandnameshoes won't be.

DMCA is an American Law it holds no weight in any other country. They would have to get a court order to seize your website if it doesn't have the brand name in it.

They aren't going to take your domain with a simple e-mailed DMCA notice to your host, its for removing copyrighted/pirated content, some hosts will disable your entire site though if you get multiple DMCA notices or if a company files a DMCA against your whole site and not ones specific thing (like you cloned/copied and entire site) and you'll have to push your domain elsewhere. More action is required to actually get your domain taken. Be careful using company names in your domain names though, especially if the company doesn't like you (like selling instagram accounts and using a domain instagram-accounts.com) and they're a big company who has people who will pursue it as they will easily be able to take your domain.

Well that seems to be good us who are not in America, i haven't messed with anything with copyright though.
