I just found a .com domain with a history on archive.org since 1999 to 2006, I don't know when it's been deleted but it shouldn't be long time ago as domaintools shows it's thumbnail dated april 16th 2010 with a godaddy courtesy page

well, my question is: does GG still considers it as an aged domain for ranking purposes or does its age count from the last registration?

if it's deleted. yes, you'll lose their age.

you can keep the age if:
    - it's dropped (before deletion period), and
    - the registrar doesn't change.
