Do Core Web Vitals Still Matter for Rankings?

There was a lot of focus on page speed and CWV earlier. Are they still impactful or just minor ranking factors now?
 
CWVs are mostly about speed, and speed is an important ranking factor, so I would say that they're still important, not in the sense that having good CWVs helps you rank, but more like having bad CWVs prevents you from ranking well. Something like that :)

Absolutely agree with you. If it's a low authority site in a low competition niche with bad CWVs, Google will avoid it for having bad CWVs. If it's a low authority site in a high competition niche with good CWVs, Google will avoid it for having low authority.

Speed and CWVs are not the food, they are just clean plates to serve food. Other factors still matter.
