Do content lockers keep sites from ranking on Google?

So I want to be able to put some content lockers on a few different sites, that are getting all their traffic from Google searches, these sites are ranking for important keywords. I want to put the content lockers on the sites so that when the user clicks a certain it pops up, but will that hurt my sites in the search engines? Or even get them removed from searches all together?

I'm really looking for some info on this, anyone have experience with ranking sites with content lockers?
 
I think that Google could potentially penalize you for locking a page right off the get-go. Just lock the important part. I personally prefer just embedding an iframe with the content locker and premium content. I also make sure to noindex the page.

I would advise against locking the entire website - it will lower conversion rate and it's understandable if Google doesn't like it.
 
What If I have a blog that has just one post and I set it so that when someone clicks a button/image the locker will pop up, would that blog get deindexed or whatever?
 
They do not penalize you. I am ranking in spots #1-#3 on two sites that are spammy as fuck with content lock code in them too.

Just need to be good at SEO :D

Well these blogs I speak of have good SEO and are ranking on page 1, that is why I'm so concerned, I don't want to slap code on and then lose rank. So me making it so the locker pops on a button click should be ok ?
 
Can I get anymore opinions on this topic before I do the deed?
 
From my personal experience


My site dropped out of the search engine when I added content locker but when I take it off it regain the ranking

I repeated it twice and it did the same so that all I got to say
 
Cloak and hide it. Activate the locker only for SE traffic?
 
Content Lockers increase the bounce rate from your site. Maybe thats why your site looses ranking!
 
well my bounce rate should be the same with or without locker, because it's just a one post blog either they like what they see and click the button and a content locker pops up OR a link locker does, or they don't like either and leave. So putting an Adworkmedia locker on will hurt of not? Remember it will only pop up when the user clicks a button.

Let me guess , its a ppd niche like keygen or generator ?
Try giving them a download file atleast!
