Do comment backlinks continue to have an effect?

Everyone gets comment backlinks. While there are 3000 link outputs on a page, are these links still working? I need your suggestions on this topic, thank you.

Blog Comment links do still have some use, as long as they aren't low quality and abused.

Blog commenting stil works... All you have to do is to make it look natural and genuine.

I would suggest you use them for tier 1 links instead of money site. The volume from many services are just too high and that could get noticed by the big G as a spam sign, unless those comments are really well done.
Anyway, you can try it on some spare sites of yours, if you have any, and see the result for yourself.

The problem with auto-approved comment backlinks is that you don't have any control! Even if you managed to get a backlink from a page with less OBL, it's just a matter of time before someone scrapes the page and makes it Spammy. You will most likely end up with Spam websites as neighbors

As suggested, you can use it for your tier-1 links as it will help with indexing. If you are on a limited budget and okay with taking a risk, then use only brand keywords and naked URLs. Never ever think about using your target keyword.

If you are going after some quality then find some pages relevant to your niche/topic, read the entire article, and leave a genuine comment or engage in a conversation by answering a question. I gained some good backlinks by manual commenting on closed pages where the comment is moderated and approved.

Instead of the usual (spammy) blog comments, try thinking of 'outside of the box' ways to acquire links:
1. Find a site you really want a link from, then do some pre-outreach..
2. Build a relationship with the site owner, by making a useful, valuable comment on their blog (just your name with NO link). You could also do the same on their social media too.
3. Then reach out to the site owner making a valuable suggestion, for example, how you could collaborate on a piece of content that would look great on their site, and be super useful for their audience.

I still use blog commenting on all my sites at the startup phase, but not the spammy auto-generated type. I manually post relevant comments on related blogs. The purpose of this is to increase traffic and build a relationship with the webmaster. The comments have to be good quality for this to work.

There are some high quality comment services in the marketplace. They are the best, the sentences are long, and they stick on blogs, that don't have spam.

If there are too many links on the same page from other comments I'm afraid that won't be that useful. So better avoid commenting in such places I believe.

Not the links per se but if you manage to get lots of people to your site from your comment then it does work.

I've been saying this for ages : links only work if they get signals on them. People must click them.
