Lately, I've been seeing a lot of people opening up on how they find cold emails, unsolicited texts annoying. It's normal and let's be honest, most of it is badly formatted spam. While I see this side of the world totally disliking and ignoring cold emails,

I see a LOTTT of videos preaching cold email outreach as the way to find clients.

I honestly can't figure out if it's still a good way to acquire clients or I'd just be considered another spammer if I do this?

I know the best answer would be to try it out myself and see if it works for you as it highly depends on the approach and what you're writing in the email but I just wanted an opinion that if the email is well formatted, well written and just looks good with a decent proposal for business (which mutually benefits both parties)
Do you think that it would convert? Has anyone tried selling SEO services (not the weird 500 backlinks for $1 ones) but decent services as an individual freelancer after acquiring clients from cold email outreach?

Out of 20 I'd get 10 opens, 3 clicks and 1 call on average.
But I'd be lying if its only cold email, usually a nice setup beforehand like launch offer or something but its region specific I don't think other countries do well.

Being an employee of a esp, NO!

being a blackhat, depends. I know some f*cks who still can do it. Evil geniuses, but you won’t survive for long…. Enjoy your last breath.

Cold email still works and so many people killing it to sell services through cold email, they will conver the cold email into call to close the deal

It comes down to strong personalization of the message, intensive research about the company you are writing to.

You need to know exactly who you are writing to, where you got their contact from, how to solve their possible company problems, etc.

To me, 10 highly personalized emails bring much more than 1000 mass emails.

I have organized calls with managers of large corporations, in complicated industries (like pharma). All this with the help of long research, identification of key decision makers and their email addresses.

Nothing is impossible.
Try to think as if you were a very responsible person in the corporation - which email would you open ;)

all this I think is related to "message marketing" overall.
Just remember cold emailing is not spam
So what are the reasons for cold emailing to die?
Of course, it works

As for today's morning, Gmail services were online...

I would like to speak with you about your experience setting meetings with execs in pharma and other industries - would you be against a quick chat?

B2B emails are not considered spam in the majority of countries, it's only considered as spam when someone told to not send him your emails and you continue sending.

You need a good offer, if you don't have a good offer you can choose the drop-servicing road.

Your emails need to be personal, clean your list before launching your cold campaign.

Still works but conversion rate has gone down in comparison to what it was like 3-4 years back.

I can't remember someone to have manage to fish me up with cold email. I guess depending on the audience and the niche / product it might work well (still).
