do brute attacks eventually stop by themselves

is there a site that shows you an easy way to block countries with htaccess

i cant block IPs theres thousands of IPs

how can an attack damage my sites

if my webhost simply moved my cpanel to another server would it stop the attack

could the attack harm my webhost or the share servers and other peoples sites

That depends. Do you really want the answers to your questions? Or are you just saying random things for attention again?

If you buy lots of Repins, they stop from alone.

If you need ddos protection you can try cloudfare. If someone is trying to brute force user passwords, you can implement protection that people have to wait 10minutes after entering their passwords 3x wrong.

Some say too much of a good thing is bad for you, others say you cannot have too much mymumsbasement.iscool traffic.

Who knows? Only pinterest.com can tell us the answer

Is this a serious questions, or just a joke? All this information is easily located via a google search. Majority of it is common sense.

    1. Yes
    2. You block the IP Block not the single address
    3. Yes until they find you again - Must be a complete server change i.e new ip.
    4. Take you offline, exploit your database, deface your site, steal your data, plant a malicious tool etc etc
    5. Could if big enough but there are fail safes to avoid that like taking your site offline. To be honest your webhost should deal with anything on a big scale or would not be in business. Ask them these questions.

Nope. You're going to have to confront the attacker and kill him yourself. Driving a wooden stake through his heart usually works in my experience.
