Well since i am new to backlinks, i was wondering if they help you with YouTube Ranking.

Also, if someone could link me to a thread where everything is explained about backlinks, that would be very helpful.

Yes, it helps, but I recommend to choose a quality SEO service. I ordered poor SEO for my YouTube video from fiverr and my video was hit by Google.

If you want to rank your youtube videos on youtube, then no, they do not help, If google or any other search engine then yes.

It helps but as plb009 said you should be careful with that since I also bought a service from fivver and video got removed

yes they aren't the only factor tho.. i believe your keywords in the title along with tags have more of a factor i can't remember where i read this though i will have to look through my bookmarks..

Yep, of course they do. And it's often easier to rank a YouTube video than a webpage because due to the power of the root domain

no they don't ... youtube is a new type of internet that has it's own rules and backlinking doesn't apply in the tubeverse ... neither does spamming or cookie stuffing ... yt is basically the holy grail of internet thingofajigs ... contraption if you like ... that stand's alone high upon a mountain silently judging your backlinking techniques... a guardian if you may.... only white hat seo works on YT ... that and voodoo ofc
