Hello,

Building some backlinks for my new sites and want to know that do article submission back links still help in ranknigs ?

Thanks in advance

Yes still if you use quality articles instead of crap ones and make a diversification it will work ;)

They do still help yes, but really the key is to have a variety of different links, with a lot of anchor text diversification.

Very fast replies

Thanks

Personally i use article links(AA) in ratio 1:20 - 1:25 ,i.e 1 link from the first tier gets between 20-25 links from AA article directories from the second tier!

I don't go for the non-moderated ones anymore, just high moderation and high quality - works great. (natural anchors and all that stuff ofc).

I am thinking to promote some amazon niches with articles submission. Is it a good start what you guys/girls think ?

Article submissions don't often generate traffic in and of themselves. They're normally used to generate an SEO effect for other target pages...

But I have experienced some long-term traffic from some articles on the main/big sites.

Dont expect people to 'read' your articles and come flying to your site; you have to appreciate the volume of articles being pushed out there. Yours will be just drops in an ocean of information. You're better off concentrating on some good content for your sites/1st tiers, and then using good spins to build backlinks and gain SEO traffic.

What do you think are the Top 3 submission sites nowadays? I used to use squidoo, but have heard people saying it doesn't have much umph anymore.

Article submission allows two goals at the same time. Firstly, it provides you a backlink and secondly, you get targeted visitors. So, it will really help in ranking of the site. But be sure to submit articles to authentic websites with same niche.

They recently went nofollow, so other than your Squidoo profile there isn't any proper contextualized links you can get from Squidoo.

To answer the OP, yes they do but you have to be smart about it. Submit multiple articles on the same site linking to previous articles to ensure you have a decent pagerank flow from the authority domain. Would help if you curated your account, allowed it to get lots of internal links from the main domain so that your articles for each directory is more authoritative (this depends on the site, obviously and how they are structured).

Try not to do hit and run article submissions in which you have 1 article per site, then that piece of content is on an island and is less authoritative then what it potentially could be.

I think it does, if you do it the right way: with unique, quality content, on authority sites (article directories, blogs, etc. with PageRank).

A lot of article directories and blogging platforms closed down, but they are still a few quality ones that will accept your articles. Even if the links are nofollow, I think it is worth submitting articles out there... I would rather have no-follow links on authority sites than do-follow links on low quality sites :)

yes but only quality articles and articles can take a lot of time to rank.
