Can advertisers choose to have their budget spread throughout the day, like adwords advertisers can? That would make sense, and would reinforce the idea that more networks = more revenue, even with the same number of views.

I had 6 networks running and was making $12-15/day with Peerfly. Cut to 3 for a short time I was still making only ~$12-15/day with Peerfly. This would make it seem like the advertisers, possibly not wanting to put all their eggs in one basket, budget themselves only a certain allotment of leads per day per network they deal with.

Anyone else notice this trend? Or does your revenue vary greatly with the amount of traffic you send to the networks with no such 'cap'?

I figured they did, so what happens inbetween? I mean, impressions are being made, people are hitting the page and I know there are more leads than I'm being credited for, so how do they deal with limits? Do they just shave the leads inbetween? It's not like I get any notice about it allowing me to divert traffic to other offers or anything. I guess the solution is to have more offers and more networks, which is what I'm working on.

    Thanks.

Most network don't really shave. It's usually the advertisers. If an offer reaches its cap its paused and you'll get redirected to a similar offer usually that will pay if it converts. A lot of people try to villanize the cpa company, but they're just at the mercy of the advertisers...

btw if you're looking for a good email submit that's not shaving pm me.

Well, yeah, I read that thread from the COPEAC CEO from a couple years ago where he says that it's the advertisers that scrub/shave leads, not the networks, but I still am very skeptical and I believe that some networks shave what they think they can get away with. I don't think that all cpa networks are as innocent as you're saying. But who knows.

I'd love to see a thread from a former AM that can tell us exactly what goes on.
