do ads affect seo?

Hey guys,
quick question, will ads on my non affiliate articles affect seo on my affiliate article?

Ive built an affiliate site and I want to put ads on the non-affiliate articles to squeeze some more roi out of it. I heard that since ads increase the bounce rate, it would decrease my site in the rank. I will be ranking the non affiliate articles in google, as a form of traffic.

Thoughts?

By ads, i mean native ads (content.ad etc.) and media.net ads mainly.

I don't have any data to back this up but if you're running adsense ads it might actually help you since google benefits from having pages with adsense rank high in search results.

No that's not true, it won't change anything. Ads won't affect SEO unless it's some type of malware network.

Might effect page load which does effect SEO, be sensible and it should be fine

It will not adversely affect SEO, this is done on high ranking pages all the time
