Do A.D.H.D. Drugs Work?

I'm glad to see there r so many others dealing with the same stuff I'm dealing with. I have the hardest time with starting a website and finishing it. I usually end up designing the website and doing alittle bit of Seo then I get distracted with another one of my bright ideas. Lol. Probably started about 8 sites this month. I've been trying to decide if I want to get meds myself. But like someone else said I don't want to lose that edge

I'm kind of the same way, except I try multitask. I'm trying to learn everything I can in a few weeks and then implementing it all but I have to say, it's easy focusing on one thing. I doubt we have ADHD, man.
 
lol, is funny how many guys here have experience on this ( including me ) i will not recommend to take the Ritalin since it is a real bad drug, i know from my own experience you may as well use cocaine to concentrate..... be real careful if you have anxiety problems or depression because it will make it way worse, i know so many guys that abused it that is silly this staff is legal, if you have an addictive personality keep away from it! i am doing same work i did before without it the key is finding something that you are really passionate about and you will have no problems concentrating, hope this helps, good luck!

That's me all the way. I have to write everything down once I think of it.. Pages and pages of notebooks lol. Also had problems when I first started IM because of it. I could not stay focused on one thing. I had like 10 sites half done :D

Now I smoke and it slows me down and helps me focus. I have tried prescription drugs and all of them made me feel like a zombie. No more of that shit for me.
 
Well amphetamines in moderation are good for memory and against overweight. They can help you cram a thick book before an exam and pass with great scores. As to the actual ADHD treatment, serious studies claim it works too the condition is indeed correctly diagnosed.
 
If you need to get work done, regardless of whether or not you have ADHD, adderall is a miracle drug. I take it a couple times before my exams and I can't tell you how valuable 10 hours of straight work is to me.

And if you wanna party after.. MDMA big time!
 
It's a 11am and 50% of the items on my action-board have been completed. I got in front of the computer at around 9:30 and started to work. I drunk some green tea, and I was able to concentrate better (hyper-focus).

I use to drink soda to jump start my brain, but I've quit drinking it due to kidney problems. I'm not oppose to self-medication with caffeine pills.
 
My girlfriend was using ADHD pills about 6 months ago and she hard having some real bad side effects like hearing voices and suicidal thoughts. I'd be careful what you take.
 
it depends on the person and the drugs given. some work well for person a, but dont work worth a damn for person b, and vice versa. i know from personal experience that concerta works miracles for me, but adderal and vivan are EVIL!!

We took our son to several dr and they keep saying that he had adhd and doped him up. It did not help it made thing very bad. Went and did more testing come to find out. the reason he was acting out is that he was board in school. Turns out my son is very bright. thank God he did not take after me.

A kid bored at school... such a novel concept XD I applaud our modern day view of our children, thinking that they jump up and down at doing work that gets them judged on how smart or stupid they are while getting yelled at if they don't do something right XD (I was yelled at at least when I got even 99%... eventually I said fuck it XD)

EXACTLY what I do, and it's HIGHLY effective as well... so I can vouch for it.
 
where do you guys get your adderall or ritalin? i have been searching all over the internet for month but no luck... doctors don't give it you over here, they will do alot of psychological tests before they consider it for your treatment...

Thanks so much John for recommending it. I purchased this book 2 days ago and have been reading it from cover to cover since then. I am just about to complete it and I must say I have come across some great tips on the subject.

I think it is important to understand ADD before trying out medication, and this book is arguably the best one out there- more so because the author himself is an ADD'er.

These stimulant based medications are not allowed in all countries. And then they are available in some countries by some other name. You should try consulting a doctor who might prescribe you this medication, or perhaps some other as he sees fit.

But then again, you may or may not get the medication in your country, but you will certainly get good books on the subject like the one above. I highly recommend you buy it while you sort out the medication availability part
 
Yes, they work great....what was the question again? Oh crap, I forgot the mac and cheese on the stove............................................................................Oh well.

Not Ritalin, the effect gone after about 5 hours, and you can go "on it" and "off it" when needed.
