For members with diagnosed A.D.H.D., do A.D.H.D drugs really make a difference?

My ex with who I have lived together for 5 years was on that shit, namely Ritalin and I didn't like how it changed her. She became very ehm... mellow I guess. You could tell she was on drugs.
Yeah... I fear losing my edge! I love how fast my brain works, and how I am able to conceptualize ideas. I don't want to lose that! I just need a few gears like in a car where I can gear up and down. I need a mental filter.
Same here. Whenever I think of something good I have to write it down, else I'll forget it in a few minutes.

Some people can use caffeine in place of a stimulant drug. The theory of using a stimulant is that it allows you to put the "brakes" on your brain and stop the constant transition of thought.
I would be careful of prescription drugs, as they can make you lose that great edge that ADD/ADHD gives you.
Some people smoke marijuana as well.
Do you have notebooks full of ideas, and ideas scrambled down on random sheets of paper?
I've moved all of my brainstorming to a corkboard that is next to my desk, so that I can see all my ideas; above the corkboard is my dry erase board where I keep my to-do list in large bright colors. A good day is when I'm able to erase everything on the top board![]()
It really depends. If the child really has adhd then yes they can help. If not it can drive them mad.
We took our son to several dr and they keep saying that he had adhd and doped him up. It did not help it made thing very bad. Went and did more testing come to find out. the reason he was acting out is that he was board in school. Turns out my son is very bright. thank God he did not take after me.
