When finding domain for my PBN i see a lot of powerful domain which have great link profile, but they got 301 redirect to other.
I wonder that do they really lost all power or not?I think their power will comeback when they no longer redirect to other domain, but i haven't test yet. What do you think about this?

They still hold their power as long as their backlinks still exist

I don't think domain lost its power if redirect to other site. Just make sure that the domain is not redirected for SEO purposes.

If the 301 redirect is properly done the domains can't lose their metrics otherwise it will lose the rankings.

Domain can't lost power if you set 301 redirect (of course if redirect is properly done)

No, it doesn't lost the power. Google ranks pages only because of the trust of a particular domain its on, the links that point to it and the content it has on it.

    Hope it helps.

There was some talk of this in SEO circles back in July. Gary Illyes sent out a tweet in late July stating that any of the 30x redirects no longer lose page rank. Mueller from Google when asked claimed that Illyes was not reporting new news and its been that way for some time now.
