I tried different public dns servers, none of them can handle 100 simultaneous requests and shuts me down.

This is really annoying, as XRumer etc. really needs many dns requests per second. XRumer power users and others should also have noted that problem.

Does anybody know an unprotected and high responsive DNS server? Does it make sense to setup my own DNS server, especially for the case, that caching does not make too much sense? I think, putting several nameservers in /etc/resolv.conf does not make too much sense, right?

Just an update here: I am using now dnsmasq as caching dns server.

Works WONDERS for cached dns entries, wow. Still, dnsmasq cannot clevery use different nameservers, at least I did not find any possibility to select ns round-robin based.

Well, I started my journey with my datacenter's dns server. Maybe it is just a question of which provider you use... you can be lucky or not.

i dont have that problom at all i use 100 dns so what do you mean by public dns servers?
