What is the best way for me to build my cousins website on my server?

Should I have him login to his 1and1 account and change the nameserver - then goto my server and do an addon domain?

Is there a better or safer method? Usually my dumb arse just does addon domains under 1 cpanel account like an idiot. I want to know if there's a "best practice" that I can adopt.

I want to do this right... In your opinion what is best and why?

I know this may seem like a newbie question but your support would be much appreciated.

If you have cpanel only (shared hosting), then you can do addon domain but if you have whm (reseller hosting) then you can make a separate account for your cousin's domain. If you have a VPS or a dedi then you can do pretty much anything as you're the boss.

Thanks for the input. I have been using my Dedi w/one cpanel account for 50 domains. Time to use my WHM to start splitting it up. Thanks for the feedback.
