DMOZ is just a bunch of a$$kiss for senior corrupt editors guys , it's worthless to spend time trying to get approved here , submit your url once , and forget about it , if is happens to get accepted ok if not ... that's it's ... none cry If you wanna still spend some money and effort on some directories use yahoo directory and bowt ...

This is what I do.it's worthless to spend time trying to get approved here , submit your url once , and forget about it , if is happens to get accepted ok if not ... that's it's ... none cry
Whether a site gets in or not is a matter of chance. I've had nice, unique whitehat sites ignored forever. I've also had crap get in.
It's all up to the particular editor for the category. I submit white/light-gray hat sites once and forget it. Sometimes I get a surprise (up to 2 years later) and literally 1 or 2 visitors a month will start trickling in from DMOZ.
It's good for a SMALL bump in the search engines, but nothing you couldn't get by doing a little link building. So it's not worth stressing about.

You submit in 5 minutes, and thats it....
If it gets let into the golden DMOZ gates whoopie, if not try again in 6-12 months after your PR has risen and you have cleaned up your site a bit more....
Its no big deal..... DMOZ aint god, just a nice advantage over your peers

If you do get accepted into DMOZ it's a huge google serp boost. Google loves dmoz

I don't think this is really true anymore. DMOZ is pretty corrupt these days and I think its relished status is not there anymore, not even in Google's eyes.

I would spend my time on something else, I basically stopped using directories, it's more SEO and Social Networking for me
