Every time I try to submit a URL to the DMOZ directory I get thrown through a circle, and never am actually allowed to inset my UR into the directory for approval.
Anyone able to submith there URL right now?
Any way around this?
Thanks

Submitted my sites 2/3 years ago and still waiting for the approval. To be honest don't take dmoz seriously, just submit and forget.

yes Dmoz accepting new submission but you have to reach your correct category
Can you confirm getting the option to place URL in a category? As Im not even getting the option.

I would love to but can't even submit my URL.

I keep getting re-directed to dmoz(dot)org/docs/en/add.html

DMOZ is crap. If you spend more than 5 minutes trying to get your site in there, it's 5 precious minutes you've just wasted.
Have spent more than that. haha.

If anyone else wants to second this I'll happily quit trying.
Just starting my backlinking finally after MUCH procrastination and this was my first step.

A link from one of the oldest human approved directories on the web, a pr 7 site with millions of pages broken down to the nth degree for relevance, and its not worth 5 minutes?

True SEO's know this:
"DMOZ is the best directory you can't listed in."

If you really care that much, just keep trying. Write different descriptions and experiement with the categories. I heard of success stories of people trying once every month.

You need to open the actual webpage of the category you are trying to submit, AND THEN add your link....

Good luck getting accepted as the mods of each category do not like competition ;)

^ That makes no sense.

Yeah before Google marked DMOZ as a link farm, back when those links were golden, you should probably spend 5 minutes on it. These days, it's just that, a link farm. It's also packed with corrupt editors so you'll likely end up spending more than 5 minutes and more than 5 bucks ;)

DMOZ not accepting new submitions already several years.

They do, some categories get updated every day, links are paid and not related to category.
Some categories not updated for years, as already said mods don't like competition.

Don't waste your time on DMOZ.
