Hello guys,

Recently one of my website has been DMCA by another website, I tried to contact the hosting to know who is behind this. Do you know if there is other way to identify someone which send a DMCA ?

By the way, if you have strategy to recover from a DMCA don't hesitate to tell it here.

Thank you!

Its the duty of Your hosting provider to send you the DMCA notice they received, if they are not sending you the abuse notification you should consider changing to DMCA ignored hosting providers

Usally every DMCA ignored hosting provider I've worked with (offshorededi, blueangle.host, the-online.com [netherlands], shinjiru [singapore], alexhost [EU]) always forwarded me complete DMCA complaint including name, email id, and the original domain where copyrighted work is hosted (thereupon its upto the customer to takedown content, ignored dmca or file a reply, but genuine DMCA ignored hosts never take down your content as they'll either discard it (BuyVM Luxembourgh) or auto-forward it to your email.

IF your DMCA ignored host does not forwards complete complaint then you'll need to change the host because you need to know who filed the complaint.

Strategy: if you have copied some movie or song or game from major provider, they'll contact google to remove your pages from search engines eventually, and so you'll loose traffic. But if the DMCA is fake then you can ignore it, file counter-notification etc. and don't need to remove content from your site at all. A true DMCA ignored provider will not take down your content (unless that's a court order)
