DMCA took my website on google down.

I had a fight with a ex friend with whom i made a website. He then copied the site which I own. He made a new domain, and copied all content. Then he sent a DMCA complaint. Now my site taken down by google. It ranked in the top3 to big keywords. Now its totally gone.
I requested a removal of that DMCA takedown via the webmaster tools. It's totally ridiculous that my site got taken down. Is there any other thing i can do? I read on the internet that a DMCA counter removal can take weeks. That means that my website makes no money for a long time... Anything i can do that google reacts quicker?

And even if that DMCA takedown is removed.. Will i rank as good as before?

First you probably should change the color of your text. When I first opened the post I saw nothing.

Next, if you have a phone I would call a lawyer and sue your "friend" for copyright infringement. You could sue for loss in revenues.

Or better yet get him to settle out of court for like $3,000 bucks.
 
He won't have a case for copyright ionfringement as they both created it together.

Your friend also does not have a DMCA case as you both created it together, so you have to appeal your DMCA penalty and explain exactly what you reported here.
 
Yep court won't help. And it's too much wasted time anyway.

I appealed the DMCA penalty at Google. But I'm worrying that it will take too much time...
DMCA really is a fucking joke..

If your site is older than his, how did he prove he was the canonical address?Google won't simply remove any content, he must've show something...
 
I read his DMCA complaint. It just states that I stole HIS site and his site is the original. Nothing more.
My site is over 6months old. His some weeks..

Strange. Something went wrong with their verification process. Oldest version gets the benefit of the doubt.
Use rel="canonical" on your future content so at least Google would know you had produced that content earlier.
 
I have the Yoast WP plugin installed. Dont that automatically use canonical? I dont have much knowledge about the technical stuff.

I have this in the header

Yeah, if your original content had that, then Google would have checked that your domain is the older of the two, I'm not sure why they accepted his complaint, this is a pretty obvious case.
 
Yes i don't get it either. He didn't even copied the site good. All his article links are broken. He just did it to harm me.
I hope Google reacts quickly...and I hope my SERPS get restored too then..

Did you check his copied source code? Maybe the rel canonical is still there. That'd be one heck of an argument to get your site back. If so, you could even demote his if you wanted(don't - you guys did it together, karma is a bitch ;) ).
 
U mean if he got canonical link with my domain in it? Nope.
I'm pretty sure when Google sees my complaint then it gets all cleared up because its so obvious.
But I hope it's get done quickly. :/
