    I saw some ebooks by an author that have been taken down from ALL the torrent sites and replaced with this;
    "In response to a complaint we received under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we have removed this result."

    I'm writing some copyrighted ebooks that I don't want shared on torrent sites so I'd like to be able to get them taken down like that if they do surface. How did they manage to serve the sites with DMCA and have them comply? I would surely have thought that the bigger corporations would just have their lawyers send the same thing out if that's all it took. What happened?

    You should look into proactive protection from someone like www.dmcapros.com. They will scan for copies of your content/product 24/7 and will issue all the DMCA Takedown Notices for you.

    I used them for my sites, they have found me over 5,000+ copies of some articles I wrote and a plugin I released, it saved me a ton of money and time by not having to go to each site and issue a DMCA.

    Highly recommend this service to anyone.
