Hi guys, looking for some info about this notice I received from Google Search Console.
They say I used an image from some saddo who complained to them.
There's a counter claim form attached but I would have to enter all my details and I don't want Google knowing all that stuff.

If I just remove the image is that the end, or should I fight the complaint?

Just comply with the DMCA and take the image down perhaps? I've never received this, but I'm pretty sure that that is the end goal here for them.

And if you think Google doesn't have your information already, you might want to check out takeout.google.com.

Sorry man I don't have your answer, however I'm always worried about things like this happening. So I'll watch the thread!

Where are you from? Just remove that image. Nothing will happen.

Forget the counterclaim. It takes forever and in the end, you won't achieve anything. Just move the content (except the image) to a different URL and rank it again. Don't redirect the old one to the new because it'll pass the DMCA. The good news is that google DMCA applies to a specific URL only, not the whole website.
