Hey guys,

Recently, I've began having trouble with 1 specific domain, hosted at InternetBS. They've been good to me for years - but I've gotten my first DMCA from them. I have a TV/Movie streaming website, and would like to change registrar to one that doesn't bend over so easily. Any suggestions? Hosting isn't an issue. My host has ignored DMCA for years. It's just the registrar, and this one single domain. Not sure why it's being hammered so hard, but it's probably due to it doing so well.

Also, yes, I gather that there are other threads regarding this, however, I want a suggestion that's up-to-date. Not something from months, or years ago.

Thanks for your time, and I hope to get some good alternatives outta you guys. ;D

Regards,
~ver.

I heard registars like http://www.enom.com/ offers DCMA Ignored domains. If you know cleanfiles PPD network it is hosted there and I've seen some of blackhat sites hosted there too

I'm guessing .CH and .TO domains are better protected, as I see multiple huge Movie/TV streaming websites using it as a TLD. Anyone know a good place to get them?

It's a .COM - which I've never actually had any trouble with until now. I don't have any problem changing TLD, and 301ing the old site to a new one. Do you have any suggestions for a .CH registrar?

I was actually thinking of starting a thread about this today. Thanks for beating me to it! While we're at it: is there any TLD in particular that is more resilient against DMCA and other forms of takedown? I notice some of the shadier websites use .biz. any reason in particular for this?

I would love to hear from someone who has experience.

When I want to do something "black" I always study ThePirateBay's approach. I guess you could look where they registered the domain and do the same.

internetbs used to be good, but they aren't anymore and either is namecheap. They both give up domains with any pressure. Lost a couple from each to legi t scri pts a while back and a couple more from internetbs to a company for having one of their generic names in my domain. Took a while but they did give them up and I wasn't allowed to transfer them.

Thanks, I'll take a look.

.TO is used by quite a few sites, like movie4k.to and kickass.to - I'm looking at http://whois.tonic.to/ - which is used by movie4k to register their domains.

I agree. I've been enjoying them for a while, although I guess it may be time to look for a better supplier.

Awesome thanks for the recommendation. The .to domain is a little expensive (min 2 years @ $50/yr) but it is worth it if we don't have to worry about it. I would also love a registrar where I don't have to provide all my details. I notice some of these domains have administrative contacts in Australia and Hong Kong.

Does anyone else have a good registrar for DMCA ignored and/or anonymous domain registration?

Thanks!

Verilix,

I currently have a site that is at risk with DMCA complaints.. even though the hosting company claims to ignore DMCA complaints. Anyways, do you mind PMing me some good hosting recommendation? Thank you !

Do you guys saying that .to ignores dmca, legitscript ? Nice thread btw!

What's more safe, harder to get shut down, .bz or .to ? :)

Thanks!

Hello Ver,

Do you have any news? What about the .bz domain name? Or do you think .to is safer ?

Let me know if you have some good site where I can register them, or are you planning to use https://www.tonic.to ? :)

Thanks, your reply will be highly appreciated :)

Kickass.to has recently moved to kickass.so
did they have troubles with the .to ?

Rizzoli,

that's interesting. Would like to know what's better - safer.

You should probably check out the offshore domain registrar list by exoticvps however my advice is to use Subreg in Czech Republic, they are VERY good, never had a problem with them.
