Does anyone know the limits to sending DMs on reddit?

Here is what I have noticed so far:

- Account less than 1 week old:
1-3DMs per day max

- Lowest CQS score, less than 100 karma:
3 DMs per day

- Low CQS, above 500 karma:
15-30 DMs per hour, 30 per day max. But sending more than 100 DMs within a week reduced the CQS and now this account is back to lowest and can only send 3 DMs per day.

(All DMs are manual, no spam no copy and paste)

At the moment I believe DM limits on aged and warmed up accounts heavily depend on CQS and sending lots of DMs does lower CQS.

Does anyone have an actual concrete list of DM limits with thresholds? I'd like to ramp up how many DMs I can send per account without getting stopped or shadow throttled.

Please no chatGPT and vague answer like "you need to act normally and things will get better" I've heard these a million times.

some sub reddit will also filter the post based on the CQS

There are no fixed DM limits. Reddit uses rolling trust scoring. High outbound DM volume lowers CQS retroactively. Recipient response like ignores, blocks, and reports matters more than daily send counts.

Do you have any source for this? This information would be very interesting.

Atm depending on my first DM I get between 28 and 55% reply rate.

To improve the CQS you just need to build login streak of the account
Before sending the first DM you must warm up the account for at least week or 10 days minimum. Don't comment or post for week then after 10 days just post or comment naturally along with the sending the DM's and don't let your streak broken.

i don’t think there’s an actual hard limit list anywhere. Reddit doesn’t work off fixed numbers. From what I’ve seen, CQS gets adjusted after the fact and DM volume by itself isn’t the main issue. How people react to your DMs (blocks, reports, ignores) seems to matter more, along with how fast you send over a few days.

That’s why accounts with similar age/karma can hit limits at totally different points. If engagement stays clean you can send more, but once negative signals stack up, the account can get throttled hard
