Greatest Movie of 2012. Man I love it. and Jamie Foxx is one of my favorite actors and Tarantino is my favorite movie director of all time

Such a great movie, keeps you entertained for the full length of it. Id say this will be a classic.

Tarantino has not produced anything worth watching after Pulp Fiction. Now it seems, Pulp fiction was the best that he could give. Inglorious bastards was still ok ( Christoph Waltz saved that movie ) but django unchained is a wasted effort especially with the assembled cast.

It was long, but he is a legend, I have so much respect for people who can build a story like that.
His skills are insane, something you can't get, you are born with it.

I'm a big Tarantino fan, Pulp Fiction is one of the best movies ever. When it came out, I held off on seeing it because I heard how violent and sick it was. So I finally saw it and yeah it was violent and sick (Go get the gimp...lol) but nowhere what I thought it would be and I loved it. Same with Reservoir Dogs. I heard about the cop torture scene and held off but saw it and loved it.
But I'm hearing that Django is so fucking over the top that even Bill Maher couldn't handle it. I'm not big on long, gratuitous violence but am tempted once again. Anyone care to give their thoughts?

I thought it was a great film. Well worth a watch. And I'm not usually a fan of this genre. It's quite long but not so long that you get bored.

Mate , I watched it with my partner, she hates violent films, but she loved Django.
It's well violent, and has some dark scenes, but it's really really good!
Still manages to bring in a feel good element as well.

Personally speaking I'm really not a fan of Tarantino in any shape or form after watching his entire production and while I consider him a very good director ("technically" speaking) I think most of his flicks do a very poor job in the script department, to be generous... I didn't like Django Unchained all that much a part from Di Caprio's and Waltz's performances, but again, it's hard not to like anything such great actors do. All the rest, including the idea the script is based on? Meh.. Ditto for his previous movie.
