I have a site that will be launching immanently and I'm trying to polish up the marketing strategy a bit and would like some input. One thing critical is that we have large groups of people landing simultaneously vs trickling in throughout the day.
We plan for AdWords, AdBrite and perhaps some others, but would like some input as to what services have yielded the best results for you. In particular this site is somewhat of a social network application that offers a free service so it is more about bringing in large numbers of people to interact vs pitching a service.
Additionally, I've reviewed a few services that seem promising for boosting traffic, however I obviously want to bring in *real* traffic, not so much just people getting paid or rewarded to click through. Any thoughts on the following services?

Sure, it doesn't hurt to have some trickle in, but it is 100% necessary to have a full on pouring in of users at least at predefined times (ie, AdWords accelerated traffic that pushes all click traffic as fast as possible right up front vs balancing it throughout the day).
