Disquis Comments - Work or Not

What's the thoughts on this, I remember some saying it's javascript so it doesn't really count for backlinks but I know G reads javascript, so I thought it would work. You guys use it and see any results?

Yes this is sort of true. Javascript and/or dynamic data is not scrapable. But most web 2.0 sites(if they're any good) use what's called pushState.
An html5 method that applied a route(basically a permalink for dynamic data)

I'm pretty sure disqus uses this so it's entirely scrapable.

This is a very interesting point.

Also, from a general point of view we may assume that google values diqus: It is just much less likely to be spammed to death (as far as I know) since it is a centralized system. I am also planning to implement disqus in some projects soon.

I used it for a little while see what would happen ins ted of having comments on my blog for some reason or other the traffic on my site went straight down. It had a major bad affect for me.

The DISQUS comment box/stream loads after the rest of the page -- and from another domain. Google ignores it.
