A 50% deposit is always the right way to go, especially when you are dealing with new members.I would personally not work without 50% advance payment, unless the member is pretty well known here (and a paid member, which would mean they are serious about their membership here). Sorry for your loss man.
The price itself was insanely low too. I would never ever do such a bot for that price. But you do you.![]()
That feeling you would lose a client if you asked for an upfront payment...
In reality you're just saving your time by verification.

Or: 33,33 % upfront, 33,33 % for the prototype, 33,33 % for the final release
Exactly. Once you have the power to walk away, you won't get taken advantage like op in this case. They can go find another provider then.
I wrote this in another thread recently, 90% of the people falling victim to these things are people who are coming from a place of desperation, they can sense that something is off but they're too attached to the deal due to scarcity mindset, fear of not finding another partner etc, and dont have the willingness to walk away.

Absolutely. I always get at least 0.01% of every transactionThe house edge. The house always wins. ;-)
